Iliana Rhythmic Gymnastics

If I could give this gymnastics gym negative 10 stars I would. I was a former gymnast of Iliana’s for 6+ years. In my 6 years of training with her she caused enough trauma for a life time. She is verbally, mentally, emotionally, and physically abusive with kids of all ages. She will work your children until there is no child left in them anymore. On top of calling your children slurs in not only English, but also in Bulgarian and Russian, she will hit them, throw equipment at them, and physically kick or drag them out of the gym as she sees fit. When I was a gymnast, I remember coming to practice weighing two pounds more than what she wanted me to weigh so she made me do 200 double jumps in a row; until my fingers bled from the welts the rope created in them and until i could no longer breathe because completing 200 double jumps in a row at the age of 11 is damn near impossible. I also went to training camp with Iliana in which she did not allow me to eat lunch or dinner at the scheduled dining times with the other gymnasts. Instead she kept us in the gym until the dining room closed and all that was left was salads and cereals – a barely sustainable meal for a growing child. I could tell stories of my traumas from practicing with her but then I might as well write a novel. If there is anything you take away from this review, let it be that Iliana (fueled by the toxicity of her mother (a monster in her own way)), is an abusive, hateful, and angry human being who should in no way, shape , or form be allowed to be anywhere near a child.

Iliana and her coaches are the best Philadelphia has to offer. They are experienced, caring and extremely dedicated. If you want your child to have the best, and be the best, trust Iliana … you will be happy you did!!!
